Thankfully people look older to us than we look to ourselves, even in retrospect. Speaking of which, my 80 plus year old aunt Tootsie didn’t want to want to hang out with the old people while she was in the hospital recently (the old people were in their 60's by the way) I find it even funnier that you wish you'd inherited his lips. Your lips are perfectly beautiful the way they are. I quess we never really see ourselves either way. :) Thank you for sharing your perspectives with the world. You inspire me to continue to look a little closer. :)

Do you not see Jonathan Papelbon in that picture? Come to think of it when you make those intense faces on stage you look just like him during the wind up.

So as I am exploring your site, checking out the inspiration and feeling the vibes in your words, I stumble on this picture. And as my eyes skip across the monitor to the goggle slideshow in the upper right corner ,I see a photo of my uncle and his father. They're both frowning. They both have heavy set wrinkles in their brow. They both look angry. But Uncle Eric is anything but angry -he's a jovial man who has battled and won only to keep fighting life's battles. Your picture made me think: Are we the successes to the mistakes our parents have made. My mom is a teacher, and as I finish school and ready myself for the classroom I know I will excel in the places she has struggled. I will be victorious in the battles she has lost. I am because of my mom.

Your dad looked much younger than he was for most of his life, tho. Got carded well into his 30s I believe... Ah the summer of bumming around Europe...we'll always have Paris. Which sucked.
