I found one! I'll pop it in the mail on Monday! Though it will have to travel from Iowa. :)

I never thought of things that way before. That's eerie, but cool. Travis www.travisconnection.wordpress.com

so i looked through my stash of quarters that i have just incase i need to take an extra dollar, or like my sister says i should do, saving for doing laundry in college, i found one that was 1966. :( lame! ill keep a lookout though! :D

Perhaps two dozen or so. How many do you have? I love 50ยข pieces! Why aren't they more popular? I know why: Because they're not popular.

I collect 71 half dollars--so I understand the obsession! How many do you have at this point? It was a pleasure meeting you a few years ago in Pinellas County, FL!

I recall looking for pre-1965 quarters to make a silver ring out of and finding many 1965 quarters, but no pre-1965 quarters.

Hmmmm...this will make sorting through my change piles MUCH more interesting! (And after your incredible performance last night at the Starry Plough, you have earned every '65 quarter I can find! Thank you for giving me & my former student one of those rare, "why isn't everyone here to see this?" experiences!)

From Graeme on 03.25.09 @ 10:03 PM

Well aware! But I'll keep an eye out for you anyway while I'm counting the coffee-house tips. You'd be surprised just what people throw in those small jars.

I would LOVE a Canadian quarter from 1965, but I doubt you will find one because of Canada's own Coinage Act of 1968. In other words, a Canadian quarter from 1965 would still be made of silver and is therefore NOT likely to be in circulation anymore.

From Graeme on 03.24.09 @ 11:17 AM

What about Canadian quarters from that year?

From Bill on 03.23.09 @ 10:44 PM

You got it Taylor. Next one I find has your name on it.
