My French is Une petite as well. Glad he finally sorted out what you meant!! Young children love attention, especially from a guest speaker! Glad the fifth graders got it though... About Poetry - not sure of the author: "Good writers bleed on paper." Good film Producers - Directors bleed on camera. Good Actors / Comedians bleed on cue.

That sounds almost identical to a story my college chemistry professor told once about teaching a first grade class. After exhaustively explaining the basic idea of what atoms were, a short period of silence followed. One girl in the middle of the room politely raised her hand, and when called on offered "I have two cats at home." It's still a running joke between my wife and I. Whenever one of us makes a non-sequitir, the other will reply "I have two cats at home."
