Great to see you again. Thank you for your time this past week in the UAE. It is actually "Gumpshun" in Iowa I think.... by the way, who took that inspired photo...(grin) Cheers Ric

For use of the word "gumption," you get 5 Mali Points, which are worth nothing (but good to have nevertheless).

Thanks again for coming to our school Mr. Mali. Your performance was incredible and very inspiring. To be able to perform like that in front of an audience must take lots of practice and gumption! All the best -Monica

I'll do you one better. Sometimes I have students who are so excited about Spanish that they put their heads down and close their eyes to dream about it during class.

It's really quite simple. A teacher who worked at a school in Prague saw me when I taught a few days there a couple years. She then moved to a school in Mexico where the current librarian for the American School of Abu Dhabi used to work. So when she brought me to Mexico, he saw me. And now that he's in the UAE, he brought me in. While here, I decided to hit Dubai first. Bahrain is just gravy.

Just out of curiosity, how did you end up the UAE?
